RICOStrip SMD LED Strip

Ricostrip SMD is a flexible LED strip available in standard and high output versions, plus a CTC tuneable white version and an RGBW colour changing version, so one product family can cover a wide range of decorative lighting needs. This gives specifiers a single strip range to choose from whether the project needs a fixed white line, adjustable colour temperature, or a full colour changing effect. All versions are supplied as a continuous flexible strip that can be cut and routed on site.

Standard output Ricostrip SMD runs at around 10.8W per metre with up to 1372 lumens per metre and is only available in IP20, while high output runs at around 13W per metre with up to 1630 lumens per metre and can be specified in IP20 or IP65. This lets specifiers choose extra brightness and a moisture resistant option where the application calls for it, without moving to a different product range. Both versions share the same five colour temperatures from 1900K to 6000K.

The standard SMD range covers five fixed colour temperatures from a warm 1900K up to a cool 6000K, giving one of the widest colour ranges in the Ricostrip family. A CTC version is also available offering fully adjustable colour temperature from 2700K to 6500K through a single strip, controlled via DALI, DMX or Casambi. This means a warm fixed white scheme and an adjustable colour temperature installation can both be specified from the same product family.

Ricostrip SMD RGBW combines a 4000K white channel with red, green and blue LEDs on the same strip, giving both a white light source and full colour changing effects from one product. It runs at 17.2W per metre with up to 1150 lumens per metre and can be controlled through DALI, DMX or Casambi. It also supports longer runs of up to 10 metres from a single feed point, compared with 5 metres on the standard and CTC versions, though runs should not be daisy chained beyond the rated driver capacity.

Standard and high output Ricostrip SMD have a 50mm cutting unit and a maximum run length of 5 metres, while the CTC and RGBW versions use a 100mm cutting unit, with CTC also limited to 5 metres and RGBW extending to 10 metres. All versions share a minimum bend diameter of 60mm, which is worth checking against tight corners or curves in the design. Confirming cutting points and maximum run length at specification stage avoids voltage drop issues on longer installations.

The standard, high output and CTC versions of Ricostrip SMD carry a 5 year warranty and a CRI above 90 Ra, while the RGBW version carries a 3 year warranty and a CRI above 80 Ra, reflecting its different LED technology. This is worth checking against a project's expected colour rendering needs and maintenance plans before finalising which version to specify. All versions are quoted at a 50,000 hour operating life.
