Beacon

Beacon is a robust exterior die-cast aluminium LED bollard with a classic look, built for driveways, footpaths and other low-level landscape lighting. Its die-cast construction and glass diffuser give it the strength to sit safely alongside busy pedestrian routes, and Ricoman backs it with a 5 year warranty. This makes it a straightforward specification for path and driveway lighting on commercial and residential schemes.

Beacon carries an IP65 rating against dust and moisture ingress along with an IK07 rating for impact resistance, so it holds up to the weather and accidental knocks found along paths and driveways. The die-cast aluminium body and glass diffuser add further physical resilience over time. This combination reduces the likelihood of water damage or cracked housings shortening the bollard's working life.

Beacon is available in 3000K or 4000K colour temperatures, letting specifiers match the warmth of the light to the rest of a landscape scheme. It also comes with a choice of dome, flat top or louvre effect heads, each giving a slightly different beam character and appearance. This range of options means one bollard family can suit both traditional and more contemporary exterior designs.

Beacon is ground mounted using a flange fixing, which keeps installation straightforward for contractors setting bollards along a path or driveway. Where a below-ground fixing is preferred, the optional Beacon Root Mount Kit can be specified alongside the fitting. At 6.95kg, it is substantial enough to sit securely once installed.

Beacon delivers an efficacy of around 30 to 80 lumens per watt at 25W, with a power factor above 0.95, so it stays efficient even when running for long hours each night. Its 50,000 hour operating life reduces how often lamps or fittings need replacing along a lit route. This makes it a practical choice for driveways and footpaths that are lit from dusk to dawn.
