Office lighting for Parklands 1A, Bolton

Parklands 1A is an office building at Middlebrook in Bolton, refurbished to bring it up to current occupier expectations. Ricoman was appointed to design and supply the lighting throughout, working with Orbit Developments.

The lighting requirement

A speculative office refurbishment has to work for tenants who haven’t been found yet, so the lighting needed to suit both open-plan and cellular layouts without being reconfigured. Screen-based work meant glare control was the priority across the workspace, while reception, the coffee lounge and the Peloton studio each needed a different quality of light from the desk floors.

The office lighting scheme

For this project, we utilised several of our premium products. Our lighting design team offered the linear Estrella Pro and Pulsar pendants were installed to provide advanced LED lighting, ensuring high efficiency and excellent performance. The E-Pro downlights and Neptune downlights were selected for their durability and superior light quality, contributing to a bright and welcoming environment throughout the building.

The recent refurbishment of Parklands 1A has transformed the space, featuring a stunning reception area, a Peloton studio, and a coffee lounge, complemented by excellent on-site parking facilities.
