Neptune

Neptune is a low glare IP65 downlight built as a direct replacement for older PL lamp fittings, giving contractors a straightforward LED upgrade path on refurbishment work. Its IP65 rating and IK05 impact resistance suit bathrooms, kitchens, and washrooms as well as standard commercial ceilings. It spans four cutout sizes from 100mm to 200mm and wattages from 8W to 32W, so one range covers several room types on a single project.

Neptune uses magnetic reflectors available in polished chrome, white, matte silver, or titanium, letting specifiers match the fitting to different interior finishes without changing the base unit. Because the reflectors are magnetic, they can be swapped or serviced without disturbing the housing. This gives designers flexibility to align the visual finish with door furniture or other metalwork in a scheme.

Neptune's wattage is tied to cutout size: the 100mm cutout runs at 8W or 16W, the 150mm cutout at 12W or 22W, the 170mm cutout at 13W or 26W, and the 200mm cutout at 16W or 32W. This spread lets a single product family cover smaller circulation areas through to larger open plan spaces on the same job. Both 3000K and 4000K colour temperatures are available across the range.

Neptune delivers an efficacy of around 106 lm/W with a CRI above 90 Ra, giving good colour rendering alongside energy efficient output. It carries an L70 B50 rating of 100,000 hours and an SDCM of 3 or less, meaning colour consistency stays tight across a batch of fittings. It is backed by a 5 year warranty as standard.

Neptune can be specified with DALI, 0-10V, or DSI dimming, or with Casambi wireless control, so it can integrate with most standard commercial lighting control systems. An emergency pack and a DALI addressable emergency pack are also available as accessories, along with a Z10 remote control emergency kit. This means the same retrofit downlight can serve both standard and emergency lighting circuits.

Neptune and Carina are both designed as replacements for older PL lamp downlights, but they differ in protection level and finish choice. Neptune carries an IP65 rating and a choice of four magnetic reflector finishes, making it suited to areas needing moisture resistance and a coordinated metal finish. Carina is rated IP20 and focuses more on dimming and emergency lighting options, so the choice often comes down to whether wet area protection or reflector finish matters more for a given room.

Because Neptune's wattage options are tied to each specific cutout size, for example the 100mm cutout is available in 8W or 16W while the 200mm cutout runs to 16W or 32W, specifiers should match the existing ceiling aperture to the correct cutout and wattage combination before ordering. This keeps the retrofit straightforward and avoids cutting new holes in an existing ceiling. Checking the reflector finish and dimming requirements at the same time avoids a second order later.
