What is Flow+ and what makes it different from a standard linear fitting?
Flow+ is a linear lighting system built from straight, arc and ring shaped modules that combine to create curved lighting features rather than being limited to fixed straight runs. Sections can be joined into rings, waves and interlocking curves, moving the design from a straight line into a genuine three dimensional feature. This makes Flow+ a strong choice for feature lighting in reception areas, stairwells and hospitality spaces where a sculptural ceiling or wall element is wanted.
Can Flow+ be made to a custom length for my project?
Yes. While standard lengths and shapes are listed for ordering ease, Flow+ can be produced to any length or shape required, since Ricoman bends and produces it in-house rather than sourcing fixed lengths from a supplier. This means a specifier isn't constrained by a standard part-code list when a space calls for something bespoke. It makes Flow+ a genuine made-to-spec solution rather than a product forced to fit the room.
What makes Flow+'s curves and shapes possible?
Flow+ is bent and produced using Ricoman's own bending machine, the only one of its kind for lighting in the UK. This means curves, rings and arcs are formed in-house to the exact geometry a project needs, rather than being limited to a set of pre-moulded shapes. It gives specifiers a level of design freedom that's difficult to get from a standard linear lighting range.
What kind of shapes and layouts can Flow+ create?
Flow+ can be formed into straight runs, full rings, arcs from 45 to 180 degrees, and L-shapes at 60, 90 or 120 degrees, and because Ricoman bends it in-house, these aren't the only options available. This gives designers real freedom to create a layout that's unique to the project rather than adapting a design to fit a standard product. It suits feature ceilings and architectural layouts where the lighting is meant to stand out as part of the design itself.
How is a Flow+ installation mounted and put together?
Flow+ can be recessed, suspended or surface mounted, with end caps, connection packs, surface mounting kits, suspension kits and recessed clips available to complete the installation. Ring features up to 1200mm diameter include a ceiling rose as standard, while larger rings are supplied divided into arcs with suspensions rather than one fixed rose.
