Yes, Core is a fire rated downlight tested at 30, 60, and 90 minute ratings, including testing with I-joist ceiling constructions, which matters for compliance on projects using engineered timber joists. This makes it a relevant choice where building regulations require ceiling fire integrity to be maintained around recessed fittings. Its IP65 front also allows use in areas where moisture resistance is needed.

Core has a switchable colour temperature between 3000K and 4000K, adjusted using a dip switch located behind the bezel. This means the same stocked fitting can be set to warm white or cool white on site depending on the scheme. It removes the need to fix colour temperature at order stage if requirements change later.

Core is supplied with an integrated dimmable driver and offers interchangeable bezels as an option, including chrome, metal brushed chrome, and black finishes on top of the standard white and black bodies. This lets a contractor fit a standard bezel initially and swap to a different finish to suit the final interior design without replacing the whole downlight. It gives flexibility to adjust the visual finish after first fix.

Core delivers 602 lumens from a 6W fitting with a CRI above 80 Ra and a 60 degree beam angle, giving a reasonable balance of colour rendering and output for fire rated ceilings. It has an L70 B50 rated lifetime of 50,000 hours and is backed by a 5 year warranty. The integrated dimmable driver means dimming control is built in rather than needing a separate driver specified.
