Frequently asked questions

What is the concept behind the Endor downlight range?

Endor was designed to let specifiers create diverse lighting environments using one luminaire range, so a project can maintain a consistent style even where different applications and finishes are needed. Designers can combine different wattages, beam angles, housings, and reflector finishes within the same family, using CREE COB LED modules and Tridonic drivers. This makes it a practical choice where a scheme spans multiple room types but needs visual consistency.

What housing and reflector choices does Endor offer?

Endor is available in round, round rimless, or square housing design options, with reflector finishes in titanium, matte silver, or polished chrome across both the downlight and wallwasher versions. Beam angles can be specified at 15, 38, or 55 degrees depending on the desired lighting effect. All four wattage tiers share the same choice of finishes and beam angles.

Does Endor offer wet area protection as well as standard indoor versions?

Endor is available in a standard IP20 housing for indoor use, with a special IP65 housing offered for the 12W size across all three beam angle options. This means the same customisable reflector and beam angle choices can be extended into a wet area such as a bathroom without switching to a visually different product. It supports keeping one consistent luminaire family across a building where some rooms need extra moisture resistance.

Is Endor available as a wallwasher as well as a downlight?

Endor's product codes cover both a downlight version and a wallwasher version at every wattage tier, beam angle, and reflector finish combination. This means the same range can deliver straight-down illumination in one part of a room and directional wall lighting in another, using matching finishes throughout. It keeps the visual language of a scheme consistent even where the lighting task changes from room to room.

How do you specify the exact Endor configuration you need?

Endor uses a modular part code system where the wattage tier, beam angle, housing, and reflector finish are each selected as separate code elements and combined into one part number, for example R0966A1B1C1E1/3K for a 12W downlight with a 15 degree beam, titanium reflector, in 3000K. This lets a specifier build a precise combination from a shared set of building blocks rather than choosing from a fixed list of pre-set models. Or lighting design team can select the best Engor configurations for your space.
