How can Modus Max be installed in high or open ceilings?
Modus Max can be suspended using either a chain, which is included as standard, or an optional suspension rod, giving flexibility for mounting in spaces with high ceilings or exposed structure where a fully recessed fitting is not practical. At 7.2kg, this suspended mounting suits industrial or large open-plan commercial spaces. The suspension rod accessory is ordered separately where rod mounting is preferred.
Why choose Modus Max over standard downlights for a large open space?
A single Modus Max fitting can deliver up to around 17,000 lumens, which would otherwise need several standard downlights to achieve, reducing both the fitting count and the installation time on large open-plan spaces. Fewer fittings also means less ongoing maintenance across a large ceiling area. This makes it a more efficient specification wherever ceiling height and floor area are both significant.
What control options does Modus Max support?
Modus Max offers optional DALI dimming for centralised control of light levels across a large installation. Colour temperature can be specified as 3000K or 4000K, and output ranges from around 7700 lumens at 70W up to around 17,000 lumens at 150W. This makes it straightforward to match light output to the specific area being lit.
How does Modus Max compare to the standard Modus downlight?
Modus Max shares the same white aluminium body and glass TP(a) diffuser design as Modus but scales up considerably, offering 70W, 100W, or 150W outputs compared with Modus's 14W or 28W. It is designed to be suspended by chain or rod rather than surface mounted or pendant fitted, making it suited to warehouses and other large, high-ceilinged spaces. Modus is the better choice for standard rooms, while Modus Max fits larger commercial or industrial areas needing more light from fewer fittings.
